I am writing to request attendance at the 11th annual MVNO Industry Summit in Barcelona, during the 24-26 April 2012. The event is part of the global leading MVNO Industry Summit Series (5 international events which run in Europe, Latam, Africa, Asia and the USA).
In 2011, the event hosted over 250 attendees from 48 countries and was nominated for Best European Conference by The Conference Awards. 2/3rds of the audience were MVNOs and MNOS and a strong MVNE exhibition matched knowledge building from over 50 international MVNO, Wholesale and Regulatory speakers. 25,000 MVNO/Wholesale experts have attended this event series to date. Some testimonials from those attendees are available here.
The 2012 event has expanded further, with a third networking day dedicated to retailers and brand companies, wifi, roaming and cloud. This interactive day will provide us an opportunity to connect with potential new clients looking to become MVNOs, plus make the most of our status as enabler able to provide cloud, roaming, billing, wifi and other back-end support.
Speakers to date (From over 70) include: Google, China Telecom, Kontakt Mobile, Deutsche Telecom, Amaysim, Orbitel, Full Movil, TuneTalk, Turkcell, MTV, Poste Mobile, Red Bull, Orange, Virgin Mobile, Vodafone, Ready Mobile, Simpel Mobile, The Retail Champion, Prepaid MVNO.
The case studies which will be presented represent countries including: Brazil, Malaysia, Australia, Costa Rica, UK, Poland, Denmark, Spain, USA and many more.
The organisers expect 350+ people to attend with 2/3rds MVNO and MNO attendance. Importantly for us, there is a 60% discount on passes for MVNOs, which means there will be a good % of potential and approved MVNOS assessing their MVNE partners of choice. We could even invite a handful of our potential/current MVNO clients at a 60% discount. If we register before the 12th March 2012 there is an early bird discount for our team as well.
With regards to learning, ROI by bolstering our reputation as a go-to MVNE, gaining new MVNOs and subscribers plus potential B2B contracts, and defining our strategy vs. that of wholesale MNOS and more generalist solutions providers, and minimizing costs in the next years I believe this event will be unparalleled. The team and I will be able to:
- Discover from domestic and international competitors how they are achieving success and differentiating their product, working with Wholesale MNOs, MVNO and potential MVNO clients, and MVNAS and refining new enabling and finance models to increase profit for all parties
- Address issues of cannibalization and consolidation - from wholesale MNOs setting up their own MVNE facilities, to dedicated wholesale networks, to more generalist solutions providers - how do we define our business and what criteria do we need to thrive?
- Identify the best MVNO, MNO and M2M clients to monetize our business
- Evaluate the best new markets for possible expansion of MVNO brands who are clients of ours, plus new business - what the competitor, regulatory, and wholesale landscape is like in these new markets
- Meet with potential new MVNE/A partners to further innovate our offering with 4G, cloud and wifi solutions
- Assess whether we should roll-out an MVNA aspect to our business as a profitable new enterprise
- Watch the 2nd annual MVNO Challenge to identify and potentially pick out new MVNOs for our network
- Make the most of the leading MVNO contact networks associated with the event - 1:1 introductions from the organizers, and an unrivalled social media platform across linkedIn (more than 2,000 members), twitter, facebook, and youtube ready for leveraging direct to the industry plus the leading MVNO market analysts from Informa and Ovum - Dario Talmesio , Camille Mendler and Carrie Pawsey
Given the volume and quality of meetings I can achieve at this summit I really believe our teams' attendance will be invaluable (much more so than the more broad/vaguer spec. general trade shows out there). As such, I hope that you will be able to approve my request for application. For further information on the summit series I found this useful as well. (All of the leading MVNES, and managed service providers exhibit and sponsor (including Sprint and MTV!) and this may be something we want to consider?)
I look forward to your response and hope to book our passes before the 12th March 2012 to ensure the maximum possible saving.
Best wishes,
